These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at https://alsalamfoundation.org/, and any related donation, event, or program pages operated on behalf of Al Salam Foundation (“Al Salam,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, making a donation, registering for an event, or otherwise interacting with our online forms, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, submitting a donation, registering for an event, or otherwise interacting with our online forms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, donors, and event or program participants.

2. About Al Salam Foundation and Our Services

Al Salam Foundation is an Islamic non-profit organization, established in 2012 and serving the community in and around Indianapolis, Indiana. Our mission is to undertake and engage in religious, charitable, and interfaith activities based on the Quran and the Sunnah, and to foster community through the Islamic principles of brotherhood, equality, and tolerance. Through our website and affiliated online forms, we offer:

  • Prayer services, including Jumu’ah and daily congregational prayers;
  • Prayer time information, including through a third-party prayer-time widget embedded on our website;
  • Educational and cultural community activities;
  • Information about the Islamic Life Center (ILC) development project;
  • Community events and fundraisers; and
  • Online donations and payments.

Donations and certain event-related payments are processed through one or more third-party online forms and payment processing platforms linked from our website. Your use of any such platform may also be subject to its own terms, which will be presented to you at the time of use.

3. Donations and Payments

Our website allows visitors to make donations to Al Salam Foundation for purposes that may include the General Masjid Fund, Masjid Expansion, Charity Fund, Quran Program, Zakat-al-Maal, Fitrah, Sadaqah, and other causes described on our website at the time of donation. We accept donations by:

  • Debit or credit card, processed through our third-party online giving platform;
  • Text-to-give, by texting a designated keyword to our published phone number;
  • Zelle;
  • Check, mailed to our address listed below; and
  • In-person (Musalla) donation, processed through our third-party online giving platform.

Some campaigns, such as giving during the last ten nights of Ramadan, allow you to set up automated, recurring daily donations in an amount you choose. You are responsible for reviewing the amount, frequency, and duration of any recurring donation before submitting it, and for contacting us if you wish to change or cancel a recurring donation. Except as otherwise required by law, donations are non-refundable.

4. Events and Programs

From time to time, Al Salam Foundation hosts community events, fundraisers, and educational or cultural programs. Event details, any applicable fees, and any cancellation or refund terms will be provided at the time of registration or announcement for that specific event or program.

5. Prayer Times and Third-Party Widgets

Our website displays prayer time information using a third-party prayer-time widget provided by an external service. This information is provided for convenience only; Al Salam Foundation does not guarantee the accuracy of prayer times displayed and encourages you to confirm prayer times directly with the masjid for any time-sensitive purpose.

6. Communications — Email, SMS, and Text-to-Give

By providing your email address, you may receive email communications from Al Salam Foundation, including announcements, event information, and fundraising updates. You may unsubscribe from these emails at any time using the link provided in each message.

If you use our text-to-give feature or otherwise provide your mobile number and opt in to receive text messages, you agree to receive SMS/MMS messages from Al Salam Foundation, including donation confirmations, announcements, and event information, which may be sent through a third-party SMS/text- messaging platform provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Consent to receive SMS/MMS messages is not a condition of any donation, purchase, or participation in our programs.

7. Acceptable Use

When using our website and online forms, you agree not to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any donation, event, or contact form;
  • Use our website or forms for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network connected to our website;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our website or the servers or networks used to make it available; or
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, or similar tools) to access or collect data from our website without our prior written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images (excluding content submitted by users), is owned by or licensed to Al Salam Foundation and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share content from our website for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.
